Welcome to the Friends of Lifford Reservoir
Lifford Reservoir is an earth banked reservoir, built by the Worcester and Birmingham Canal company in 1815 to compensate Lifford Mill for water lost to the canal.
About Us
We are a friends group of volunteers who give our time for free for the benefit of the local community of Lifford Reservoir and its woodlands.
Our Mission
We endeavour to keep Lifford Reservoir clean and to protect and help the nature and wildlife that live in the Reservoir and surrounding area.
Get Involved
Amongst many duties, our volunteers litter pick on a weekly basis, report any wildlife in distress and help set up events throughout the year.
I enjoy volunteering and litter picking at Lifford as it gives me a great sense of achievement.
A community-led group dedicated to restoring and maintaining the local reservoir.
